The Idaho Forest Products Commission indicates the typical 2,400 square foot single family home requires about 16,000 board feet of framing lumber and over 14,000 square feet of other wood products including plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), glulam beams, wood I-Joists, laminated veneer lumber, hardboard, particle board and medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Now add concrete, drywall, insulation, electrical wiring, HVAC systems, brick/stone, roofing and etc. and you see that building a home is a major undertraining involving months of work and numerous suppliers and craftsmen.
A successful home build requires experienced project management and each trade must do their part in a timely and correct manner or there can be a domino effect that influences everything that follows, as well as the outcome. Our craftsmen understand that and work as a team to ensure a consistent and highly acceptable outcome.
Moline Builders has assembled an elite team of craftsmen that build our homes along a wide spectrum of home prices. Unlike some competitors, we do not select craftsmen for specific jobs based on the sale price of the home. Since Jim Moline has hand-picked his sub-contractor team and worked with most for many years he fully understands their capabilities and most importantly they understand his expectations and stringent quality standards.
